Marie Dawandala, Damaris Doukouya, and Martha Weteya were falsely accused of supporting Boko Haram and sentenced to death. Their stories demonstrate how poverty and language barriers obstruct access to legal representation and a fair trial – which can result in innocent people being sentenced to death.
